Having an original piece of
artwork is special and one of a kind. It holds priceless value to its owner and
originality that cannot be duplicated! Here are the steps to take towards your
Sketchy Kreation:
1. Contact me by email. We will discuss specifics on what you
are looking for in a Sketchy Kreation! karissawonders@gmail.com
2. The picture you select for
me to work off of is very, very important! The picture you send me will be similar to your end result. If you would like
changes to your Sketchy Kreation in any way from the original, other pictures may
be needed to accomplish the desired change. I love it when I am told my art captures the personality of
the subject I am working with, but it can't be done without an adequate picture
to work from.
3. Send your chosen picture to
me through email. Large format of 800x600 is best if possible. This way we can discuss any obstacles I
may encounter while creating your piece.
4. What kind of medium would
you like?
Colored pencil is great
for capturing the personality of the subject and so far has been the most
popular. It allows the color of the subject to shine through
allowing them to look more realistic. I consider colored pencil to be my favorite medium.
Graphite is a more classical
take to rendering. It is great for showing off a subject with high contrast.
You can never go wrong with a black and white!
5. This is always the part
everyone wants to know... how much does it cost?! Well, that's a very hard
question. It really depends on what you want. It can range anywhere from
$50-$150. I charge depending on what medium you want, color being a little
higher than black and white. I also charge on the number of subjects. A family
portrait will obviously cost more than just a single person and finally, the
size of piece I will be rendering will be considered. Just email me with your ideas and we can
discuss prices from there!
Finally, I request a deposit
of 50% before I start your project. I am a full time student and work part
time, so my life is very sporadic! I may get overloaded with school at various
times throughout the year and my free time varies from week to week. So I try
to give you a reasonable ballpark on when I can have your piece finished, but request
that you work with me when I do get overwhelmed. I always keep in touch when I
get bogged down and when time doesn't go as planned I try to keep you informed.
All work will be completed
in the order in which they were received.
